Successful results often requires multiple passes and taking short cuts can result in sub-optimal results: namely a not very clean driveway or an irregular finish known as zebra-striping or visible lines. Afterwards, the concrete is rinsed to remove loosed silt and dirt. Problem areas are then chemically treated again, as needed, and process repeated.

An optional step is application of a leave on disinfectant solution to insure maximal spore death and help prevent return.
